In hundreds of websites talk about the battle between wich is best program for web elements, user interfaces, etc..
For years, Photoshop has been the most powerful and solid tool, so the large number of people who use and prefer. On the other hand, Fireworks, pioneering tool for the user interfaces and their latest updates, adding export css, jquery implementation with mobile, etc..
What is your opinion about which should be used to interface design, optimizing the work?
Regards.
I prefer photoshop for this kind of tasks, but Its the best for me because Is the only program I use for this kind of works.
This kind of discussions could be infinite, and sometimes you don’t know what to do. I started to use fireworks many years before, and simply I leave it.
I think photoshop its very good for creating banners, entire websites, optimize for web, cut in sectors, and animate gifs, and I never need anything else (next step is flash or dreamweaver). Have Fireworks more options?
Simply I don’t know.
Resuming I choose Photoshop
I tried using fireworks and it freaked me out and I quickly closed it down and loaded photoshop backup
If anyone can explain the advantages of fireworks over photoshop I’d be really interested.
Fireworks is a vector based application unlike photoshop. For example , if you draw a circle in photoshop and then zoom on it , then U will notice that the resolution of the circle pixelates. However , if you draw a circle in fireworks and zoom it , then you will notice that it doesn’t pixelate even after zooming. This greatly helps in designing website layouts.
