I am currently improving my skills in Photoshop and I have a little question.

Does somebody know how I get rid of the shadow on the background image? I want that the shadow of the white thing is only on the yellow colored area, not on the BG.

Is this possible without rasterizing the shadow and cutting that part out?

Regards Anil

Not sure if blend mode will help with all bg color possibilities. But it is possible with following way. Group the white object and apply mask to the group (with desired shape) so that the shadow will not be visible out there.
