What they want? They just want a simple logo? Why they not buy in Graphicriver, there’s so much Logo.
If you watch this videos, you will know the meaning of the logo, from each square and color.

Oh wait, look this link: http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/ , different only in Color
Haven’t looked at the links but I like it. it goes great with the new layout of Windows 8. They also have a lot more devices to handle than 25 years ago.
The real question is how much they spent on it… I wouldn’t be surprised if just this version is in the 7 digits range.
I’ve been seeing the old logo since the day I first used a computer.. It’s sad to see it go, but since Microsoft is on a mission to bring this “Metro” design to all its products and services, it only seems logical to change their logo too.
It also fits well with the new Windows logo!

I like it.
I like it. The logo offers a lot of possibilities, can represent many things and is simple. Every color represents something else.
Too simple. But I love the way it reminds of live tiles. And of course Segoe font. It does remind of their new software style but other than that its just stupid.

Geez… they really don’t do design, do they?
It looks like the blandest, most generic corporate design by default I’ve ever seen. They’ve managed to obliterate the last vestiges of character from their old logotype. I mean… it’s not exactly daring, is it?
well it’s not that much better but they actually need a new logo.. every multi national company has to make new logo often..

It looks sexy and clean but too simple… i would use other shapes than squares!
