Need some guidance

Hi Dear My Fellow Countryman..

Do not give up. Keep your file coming. use what ever the veteran and elite authors suggested to you to improve your product in the future. I am not in the same genre as you are and i leave your files to those who really know those thing to comments and suggest. Just want to give little advice and my story, maybe you could use it. I ‘ve been in photo stock business since 2010 and with envato photodune since oktober 2011. Guess what? I made not even a hundred dollar with my tiny portfolio. then only i realize that in this business, quality and quantity is important. I joined videohive stock footage in February this year and that platform showed some improvement. I personally think that there are a lot more author have their history to share if you ask. I my self have no sale for my first uploaded file, until now…it have been almost 6 mnths old, but after seeing other newer people’s portfolio growing, and so as their sale numbers, i told myself not to quit this and keep on producing footage. (but you know in our country to get a decent cam is expensive, i just have to use what ever i have). So now, i am a bit happier than before joining videohive.

So to cut short, just keep on producing, quality products. just do not wait until what you uploaded today get sale only to start another project, keep on doing it and upload it so that you have a steady flow/chance of appearance in front page most of the time. bigger portfolio get better audience, better follower, better sale.

From a person who’s on the forums all the time (me).... it’s probably true that you get some extra followers, but largely from fellow authors. I’m pretty certain that it has no major effect on sales.

But do stay active on the forums… for the help and support of those fellow authors and to stay part of this great community.
