I have a friend of mine who is an author on GraphicRiver, he creates some nice layout PSDs. We are really great friends so I asked him if I can use one of his PSDs to create some real web content (HTML, CSS , Javascript… etc) with it. But we started thinking, is this okay? If yes, how can we prove the inspector that we are cool with it?

written permission supplied by original author you will keep locally as proof you have permission – you then checkmark the all images etc you have permission to use and put a line in the box as a message to the review team. If asked for proof then you would supply your written proof.

Thanks for the quick reply Jonathan.
Sorry… Sent two replies by accident…
But as I know the authors are not allowed to give the files for free of charge or to sell them out of the marketplace as if that author is exclusive…...... wont that be an issue to the author who is giving the file…. ??????? because as I know Envato doesnt let the authors to give there files to somebody else for free of charge…..
I have a similar question with Crakken. If someone has a HTML template on Themeforest. Now I convert it to Wordpress theme with permission of the ownner but the WP theme will be posted on my profile. Is it possible ?

There are examples of this on themeforest already so I presume yes you can.

As LanceSnider said it in this thread: http://codecanyon.net/forums/thread/give-an-item-to-an-author-for-free-of-charge-/70547?page=2

@Crakken – hmmm.. well then we need someone to explain why there are html by some author then a WP version of same item by another author as a partnership
Several examples on the marketplace.
Just to clarify this is not giving an item away for free – this is wanting to pass your PSD for someone to make in to HTML – or HTML in to WP etc with permission. Bit of a difference.
