Do you guys know how to have multiple demos on one dedicated demo site. Something like www.demos.mysite.com/demo1 or www.mysite.com/demo1
I spent too much time trying to use the WP Multisite option and I just kept running into issues where I would point to or include specific files and the source code will show correct path but it doesn’t load the files
so I gave up.
I’m going to be writing a bunch of WP tutorials and I just don’t want to be setting up new installations for small demos…
Does this make sense? Is there someone who is doing something like this?
Thanks for you help guys! Vadim

Multisite is definitely the way to go, I plan on setting this up for my demos shortly. It also forces you to test your themes with multisite.
Sounds like the problem you had was a permalinks issue most likely. Can’t be totally sure though.
Ok then seem like MU is the way to go. Maybe I just need more research on how the MU actually works, but yeah it did sound like a great option for demos..
Thanks man

Personally, I’m going to set up WordPress on something like “http://demos.scheetzdesigns.com” and then run all of the demos in /subdirectories/.
I agree. I also used MU for demo and it’s great. I would recommend it to anyone who is about to give it a start.![]()
