Would you be able to create more category for video sales?
We have 2000, hours of video library and willing to upload many as you wish. I realize it would take a lot of different category but I’d settle for one category for now: MISC Or anything can not fit the listed categories.
Thanks

Are you referring to the Stock Footage section?

@Mark Yes, footage section needs different categories. I see why they lack sales. I looked over the content and not many sales because that’s not what people want to buy.
Abstract category, time lapse and other ‘art’ category would do much better. This is an ART site and don’t think many of the artists here needs nature footage of all sort. I have thousands of hours of nature footage and there is no market for it, especially here. Many of the artists here find their own photo and video from other sites free of charge. So, who would be buying it then?
My suggestion is let an author create a temp category and if envato likes it, make it perm.
Also a section or category where someone request a specific footage and ready to buy providing meets the specs. Then the vid producer can upload it and sell it. Posting it in the forum gets lost.
That’s just something Envato would never do. This is stock market, and it sells stock footage and all related to video production. Nobody knows when and how much an item will sell, so there will be no such thing as temp. Also, when someone do video production professionaly, he would want to do it properly. He would like to obtain proper licence for footage he includes in videos he produce. For timelapse category- authors will make it as any other footage, with timelapse added to name and tags. Buyers usually finds footage here by using search, because he define what he needs in that search field. Also, this sentence don’t make any sense: “My suggestion is let an author create a temp category and if envato likes it, make it perm.”
” Also a section or category where someone request a specific footage and ready to buy providing meets the
specs. Then the vid producer can upload it and sell it. Posting it in the forum gets lost.”
Why would anyone wait for author to make that footage, and also, why would author do that only when hes asked. If I can’t find footage here, I’ll search on other stock sites.
To make such footages, authors usually need to setup lights, scenes, and many other things. And they wouldn’t do it for few bucks that those buyers would be willing to spend.
But, maybe I’m wrong

OK, I guess that don’t fly here. I looked over the video sales here and it’s zilch. My point was why upload stuff nobody wants? Am sorry if I didn’t expalained a bit more clearly.
