I’ve got a problem with approving my projects to VH because the inspector says that the projects have missing files errors. When I do pre-rendering and insert the files into the project why does the path to this file is missing for the inspector and good for me on my workstation??? I understand that structure and files organization are different for me and the inspector.

How to keep the files paths when I pack the project in zip?

Thank a lot! I didn’t know it. It’s strange how my previous projects have been approved when I hadn’t use “collect files” :)

And this… What does it mean: “Project gives missing font error for “bla-bla-bla”. Please use either standard fonts or free custom fonts”.

I thought it must be so. If the font is not default for any buyer he must to download with the link that I noticed in my help file. So why does the inspector write it to me?

If you use font that is not integrated in every OS, you have to include font link in description, so buyer can download it. It has to be free, also. ;)

Is that a new rule?

Inspector (me) for some reason missed the font link in your help file. if it’s there – you’re fine and will get through.
I just want to say that each project inspecting is different. First time I have changed nothing, and everything is got through. This time I have to go to my project and replace all text holders by any default font (for example, by “Arial”). Why? It can break the holders construction… If the buyer open project and doesn’t have exclusive fonts he goes to my help file, download them, install, reopen project and everything is ok!

If I have one project in 2 version: pre-rendered and original, and I use in the both one pre-rendered element; how can I use “Collect Files” option not inserting the one same asset to the different folders? It increase the total size of main zip more 500mb, so I can upload it to VH.

In one of those project’s you will have to do things manually.

So for example, you have prerender.mov in both projects, same file, but on different locations. In one project, you will do collect files, on the other project, go to prerender.mov and click replace file – with the file AE collected in that folder.

I hope you understand what I’m talking about.. :)
