Have you thought of actually hiring a tilt-shift lens to do this kind of thing? It’s actually not that expensive.

A tilt-shift lens doesn’t actually throw parts of the image out of focus, but makes a different plane in-focus across different parts of the image. That means that the objects will still have some separation and differentiation from one another, despite the changing focal length. You can also do cool things like tilt-shift focus pulls.

One way or another, playing with the real thing will give you a lot of insight into the effect that you’re trying to recreate digitally. At the moment, it looks rather like a blur overlay.

I like the color grade though.

I agree, a tilt shift lens works very well and gives you better results in my opinion. (I don’t know about the “not that expensive” part haha.) Though, I like your video and your color grading as well

Thanks for the comments guys. Well I don’t think I’m going to hire a tilt shift lens to shoot something like this video because I did it for fun and to see how it is going to look like I know that using a real tilt shift lens is better solution and it will work better but that’s just a hobby at the moment so I’m not considering hiring or buying such a lens. Anyways that for the comments appreciate your attention!
