I’m sorry doru, but I strongly disagree.
Foxconn is considered the best factory to work for in China. The conditions there might not seem good to us, but they are a whole lot better than in other factories there. Watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cL60TYY8oQ
Regarding price, yes, they are very pricey. And there is a very good reason for that. The components Apple uses are much more expensive than say Dell does. And it’s not very hard to see. Anybody who had their hands on a Mac will know that.
It is very simple. You get what you pay for.
You don’t become world’s most valuable company by selling bad stuff
With that said, I still wish they were a bit cheaper so I could buy one
I’m on PC too.
I lost track of the score but it’s pretty clear to see that PC is dominating this!
I find that so so strange though, pretty much every single design studio I freelance for is kitted out with macs and I was expecting a lot more of the motion designers on Videohive to be working on a mac platform.
I started out on a PC but as soon as I could (just about) afford a mac I went and got one straight away. On paper I found similar spec PCs but sat side by side the Mac architecture and OS just seemed to run everything so much more efficiently and was even faster than better spec PCs that colleagues and studios had.
I’m with Vaynah on the question of ‘if PCs and Macs were priced the same, would you get a Mac?’

I’ve actually turned down a job offer in the past because I would have been working exclusively on PCs.
Started using Mac 14 years ago, and have never looked back.

512 GB of RAM might be a tad excessive!

It’s largely a matter of personal preference and what you’re used to of course. It’s not really about sheer computational might for me. It’s simply the OS. I like Mac OS much more than I like Windows.
I spend much of my life sitting in front of a computer, so I’m prepared to shell out a little bit more to work with the OS that I want to.
Macs are a tad expensive for what they are. But I like to look at it like this – you’re paying for the design and development too. And as we designers all know – that’s not free.
