Loyalty between Authors

Does anyone else feel it would be everyones benefit and Envatos, to have some sort of loyalty scheme between authors.

Now what I mean by this is, maybe there should be some sort of discount on buying each others items. Maybe if its like 10% off other authors file at first for if you have with items for sale, and then up as you go. I really feel this could help the new authors and get some more money circulating between us all. I know I would buy more projects of fellow authors if I knew I would be paying a lower amount then a normal user. Would also encourage new users to videohive to get creating their own templates so they could to get a discount.

Thoughts? (I hope i made sense above!)

Absolutely agree! What about discounted purchases if author buy from earnings? This looks like is mutual beneficial. win – win.

Advantage for authors: discount
Advantage for Envato: money stay on the market.

For example let say I sell 1 item for $20 (10 for me and 10 for Envato If I have 50%)
From this my $10 I can buy item with price $11 (discount 10%)
$5.5 will go again to Envato and $5.5 will go to another author who also may decide to buy something here.
So at the end it is very – VERY much beneficial for Envato to make more internal turnover rather then process withdrawals.

And just another reason if money came from outside there is a chance – to pay 30% referals. If purchase internal (one author buy from another author ) no referrals paymend and again it is win for Envato.

If I am at Envato position I definitly already implemented this!

It would be cool, but the files are already incredible affordable compared to other marketplaces (other than envato) personally i wouldn’t want envato to lose any more money. But it’s a good idea if it could work out.

I’m also thought about it when I finished reading this topic. But this problem could be solved if make “Loyalty between Authors” when any author gets the black paw badge (for example). It’s a stimulus to the growth and well-deserved encouragements.

So… +1 to the Danny’s idea!

When I have decided about a new project I usualy choose a music file and I will buy that file. Can be a good idea to have a discount on that product once I put the money back in the Envato`s market and I advertise that file also. Sorry for my english! I hope you get the point.

Cool Idea, maybe if the author will have either:
A greater paw, or years in Envato he/she can get bigger % discount?

I don’t like the idea as everyone here buy a files when he is need of that file and already the files are sold here lower then cost of peanuts so use of any discount is a stupid idea it’s very easy to become a author just pass the test and you gets the author. Portfolio so it’s very easy to tweak the system and everyone here is for professional purpose and why give discount to fellow author who is buying your file to earn money will he give you the percentage he earned by purchasing your file
