Hello together!
I need your help. Should this be an extended or a normal licence project. I’ve never sold this item as an extended file. What can I do? It has over 360 000 clicks on youtube.

Maybe its a newbie question, but is there a rule regarding the amount of clicks a license changes to extended? if there is – how many clicks does it take?

Regular licence is ok. He can use same video million times. If he want to change text in project and render again, he need to buy regular licence again.

@johnnybd: no.

As Djordje said it is Regular Licence and he can use that video 13543342 times… But if he want’s to change it and re-render it he needs another licence. :)

So, if I read this correctly : one regular license grants the right to make one single render (that’ll be a “logo sting”), but which can be used simultaneously on several videos ?

Also, if I get some “transition effects”, how will this work ? As the effect won’t change, I’ll probably have to get a license per video or rather an extended license as it’s going to be several videos for a single client, right ?

(sorry for bumping an old thread, but this was the closest one to what I was willing to ask)

One licence (purchase) – one render from ae.
And than you can use that video unlimited times.
Regular or extended licence – it’s not about number or uses, both are single use licences.
For example if you want same intro for 1000 videos on youtube, you need to buy only one single use licence.
As author I don’t like that idea, because projects are very cheap here.
For about $10 (for royalty free stuff btw) you can have awesome intro in million video clips.

Yeah I can understand why you don’t like it. But my concern isn’t the price, I just want to get the proper license : if I need to pay more, I’ll pay more :)

Thanks for the clarification with the single “logo sting” render. Now I’m still unclear with various things.

One of my clients is willing to make several “customers experience” videos. That means :
  • one “opener” / “logo sting” that won’t change between two videos (read one single render)
  • possible transition effects that I’ll reuse in many if not all the videos of this project
  • possible sound effects for those transitions that I’ll reuse in many if not all the videos of this project
  • possible music, still unclear if we’ll need to change it everytime

So, should this be considered one single project in which case the proper license is regular for everything, or does this apply only to some of the stuff ?
