It will be the same as every other Apple release: people will be disappointed that they only made minor changes, will say it’s not worth the price, then will camp out overnight to buy it anyways.

I don’t think that you speak about the same people Who camps overnight can’t be disappointed about that tablet. they are fanatics. Like I may understand a fan that camps ahead of some celebrity music show or something, is an unique event, he wants to be part of it, but to buy a piece of hardware? Couple of days after the launch and it will be available everywhere.

What I manage to understand about apple is that they create products that are unbalanced in the quality and functionality. If an Apple product have 10 features (hardware or software), a couple of them will be high and the rest lame. There is a reason for this. While apple works at new ideas, the competition is working at the same stuff as they do. So, while the other ones try to create a balanced product, apple cut the research time, pack the thing and deliver the product. And buyers will be happy, because when a new technology appears at the horizon everyone want that NOW , it doesn’t matter if that product is not polished in all the parts.

The ipad and iphone, off course, gets better and better, since they are building on existing technology, they are just improving the parts they let out in the previous models.

People will be disappointed because they want a NEW toy, something that didn’t exit the day before.

Yes, they focus on only a few features, but what they do put in, they make perfect usually. Apple does not make any compromises and that is both good and bad.

As for the “2012” iPad it does not impress me at all. Retina display is great, but not enough to upgrade from my iPad 2 which I use mostly for testing anyway.
