Guys, I bought this lower third set. http://videohive.net/item/heavenly-light-lowerthird-set/699693

But it’s not showing up transparent when the .mov is imported into Premiere pro CS5 .

After a little digging, learning,an research I rendered the heavenlylt.mov in after effects with Quicktime animation. RGB +Alpha, millions of colors and straight (unmated) as well as premultiplied (matted).

When I layer the rendered files above my video in premiere, it plays as non transparent clip with solid black background?

Once I rendered it properly, shouldn’t it be a transparent lower third when i drag it above a video in Premierepro?

I want only the lower third to be visible in my video footage in premiere pro. How do I solve this?

Any help much appreciated.

Hai mystickid, you must render with RGB +ALPHA, Format Option Compression type PNG .

when you put the Lower third into Premiere, use the composition ALPHA or ADD .

hope this help.

Hey I really appreciate your input Yeremia! Can you explain more on what you mean by “use the composition ALPHA or ADD .”

Any other suggestions most welcome as well.

When you put to the Premiere, you must set the Lower third on the top of your video and set the layer lower third ADD not overlay.

Thanks again Yeremia.

I dont see any option for just "add" blend mode. I just have "linear dodge add' only.

See Picture—> http://www.freeimagehosting.net/a740f

When I apply linear dodge add, the colors are not correct.

Im still trying. thanks :crying:

hai mystickid, are you sure that you rendering the project with RGB +ALPHA and Format Option is PNG ? because if you rendering with that option it will be automatically transparent when you import to the Premiere. you don’t have to use Video Effect in the premiere to make it transparent.
