That was a mistaken request sent in by me in July, but the link has been reinstated by Google, it was one of my own items LOL
That is a great link, I can see all my stats, thanks for sharing

loswl saidWhy don’t you send DMCAs to only giraffe sites then? You also send them to Google because you want to minimize exposure of the page through Google… the same applies here.
graphicmind saidOK, but DMCA ’s are normally sent to Envato not Google on people who rip files and upload them here, so the Google rules would not apply, unless for some reason, they sent the request through Google, which would not make much sense?!?
loswl saidI meant DMCAs sent to Google due to ripped files that have been uploaded here.
GraphicRiver will not be affected by this. This only affects DMCA Notices sent to Google through their DMCA Removal of Infringing links tool, which can be found here: http://support.google.com/bin/static.py?hl=en&ts=1114905&page=ts.cs
I stopped sending request to Giraffe sites, I get quicker results with the Google tool, but I get your point, the new Google rules can potentially affect Graphicriver, if people steal files and sell them here…and it should.
please i need some insight. do i need to send to google DMCA direct link where my copyrighted file can be downloaded or do i need to send the link of giraffe site where the links to download file are stored?
thanks

When you use the Google tool, it leads you to a form where you can submit multiple direct links for one file, you can also include the download links., that are on those sites…..Hope that helps
thanks a lot. i will surely try it. hope it works
just one more question.
i presume google will remove that content from its search but it will still remain in other search engines, no?
so is the only real way to remove content to email sharing sites where users can download the content with DMCA notice?
thanks

I agree but if just those particular pages are affected, not the entire site.

Other search engines will not be affected, but since Google is the most used and most popular it is the best one to concentrate on at this moment, because it does affect the sites in some way.
Google does request removal of items from giraffe websites and some of them do remove the items, so that their pages continue to be indexed by Google, but some of the Giraffes do not care about Google’s indexing, so they do not remove items when requested. Items that are on Blogger sites are sent to another department and are removed. Repeat offenders get their websites shut down, so that is a good thing! I have seen that happen to many Blogger websites
I prefer to use the Google tool because, even when I send direct DMCA Notices to some of the giraffe sites, they totally ignore the request, with a letter from Google some Giraffes remove my stuff and for those who don’t, no indexing for them and my item links move up on the Google page, sometimes back to first place.
Note: There is still no perfect solution, these sites spread like a wild fire, as soon as one goes down, like five more appears.
thanks a lot.
