So I stumbled across an image generator the other week, which was designed to be used to track hits on a Facebook Fan Page (easier than the crappy info page that facebook has). I decided to try it out on my marketplace pages, leave it for a week and see if google analytics picks up on it.
And it worked!
So if you have wanted to find out your popular items, where people are visiting from, etc. then check out the generator here:
It will create a small image file, with the code required. Yay! Enjoy!

The step-by-step guide on the website (( http://www.webdigi.co.uk/blog/2010/google-analytics-for-facebook-fan-pages/ )) is fantastic, and if I were to explain it, it would just be the same as this.
Awesome stuff, I have always wanted that!! Will try it out now!

it generates a 1×1 white pixel as an image, as an end result
Begs the question of why do none of the Envato marketplaces have a way of allowing its authors to track this info already….

This has been asked before – I believe the answer was that Google Analytics requires javascript and people can create malicious things using a script. So they just disabled it.
The image created from this generator is absolutely harmless though, so I reckon it’s pretty much perfect!
