Hi guys,
I just completed this website:
h t t p : / / w w w . m s i p r . c o m /
I wanted to share a solution to a problem encountered. You know, usually full flash website have the elements repositioned based on the browser window size. This is how I did here too: h t t p : / / w w w . a l e x a n d r a e s s e x . c o m / but because this website had more content needed to be displayed, the client wanted a different solution.
I tried adding the website in a html page, and then add scroll bars if the window got smaller, but again, this wasn’t suitable because the homepage has a color and the inner pages are a different color.
Searching for a solution I found this: http://blog.pixelbreaker.com/flash/swfforcesize/
And I implemented it for a different size – so if you resize the window and make it smaller than 1024×768, you will see the scroll bars. That is also true if the resolution is smaller, and the browser window is smaller than that size. THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT FLASH REMAINS FULL SIZE EVEN IF THE SCROLLBARS APPEAR !
This being said, check out the end result, as I am sure lot of people doing full screen stuff searched for this for a long time. I know I did.

Yup, as I said, repositioning the elements is a solution – in my case the client didn’t want it. I had to either build the flash scroll, or add the scroll from the OS. The latter was chosen.
But hey, is good this solution exists, another reason why full flash websites can be used. If Adobe could only implement the back button problem somehow, and maybe allow swf files to easily be SEO , all will be good.
