Forum Problem - Item Discussion

I don’t know if this is happening in all the marketplaces forums but the Item Discussion does not update properly, I mean it doesn’t appear at the front-page in the forum when someone update a thread, and that is a problem because nobody pays attention to it.

The “Item Discussion” forum was always omitted form the recently updated threads list since it was created nearly two years ago.

Well, what I remember of the old marketplace design is that thread list, is that when I posted an item for feedback it appeared in the right tab “Blog | Forum”

If it appeared anywhere, it was a bug. As theflyingtinman said, Item Discussion threads do not appear in lists of recent threads.

The point is there were no “Item Discussion” updates in “Recent Threads” in the old forum either. You are missing something that never existed

Hey Ipad, well the truth is that you are confused… But you’re not.

This is really a case of cross marketplace confusion. The reason is that on flashden, the item discussion category was created a long time ago before TF existed, as a response to the issue of self promo problems on the forum. So it was established so authors could discuss their items without spamming the home page.

When TF was launched, the item discussion category was also not supposed to be displayed on the home page. But because of a mistake or an oversight, it did not stay hidden, and it did not get fixed for quite a long time.

So that’s it that’s why the fd guys are saying it was always like that, but someone comi g from tf only would be confused to hear that, because it wasn’t the case there for a long time.
