Here is my project that I recently created for christmas and NY: http://videohive.net/item/its-christmas-time-project-file/720530 . Problem is that reviewer “put” that “project” to motion graphics category. I see a lot of new files that is similar like mine. Particles, snow and just one text that can be customized and they are in AE project files category :( Can I ask you guys for your opinion, do you think that that project is for motion graphic category ?

Hey Remake, just looking at the history of the file it appears that you put the file into the motion graphics section and included the project file as a bonus. But either way, I’m afraid this is a bit too simple to get accepted into the projects section so I think it’s actually a good fit right now.

It’s Nemanja, remake is name of company :) I was told to put it there bcs it was rejected in project category. Hmmm…can’t realy agree with you Mark. There is hundreds of openers that are as simple as my project and even more simple. Maybe I’m wrong but I’m sad bcs that file could of make it in project category with a lot of sales that’s for sure :(

Sorry, didn’t know exactly what to call you :). Oh that makes sense though. Occasionally if a file comes in that would be suitable as a Motion Graphic, and wouldn’t meed project’s quality standards, we suggest they upload it to Motion Graphics and just include the project.

While you are right about there being tons of Holiday themed projects, we have taken a lot of steps this year to raise our standards. As everyone’s probably aware, holiday files can get pretty saturated pretty fast. So when each year comes along, the standards get increased. So comparing your file to files of the past doesn’t quite work since they we’re approved under old standards.

In the case of your file specifically, there’s no text or placeholders. Aside from basic color changes, there’s very little to customize and nothing that would require customizing. So for that reason, this file would be just as effective as a rendered video. And for that reason we’d rather have it in Motion Graphics instead of Project files.

Hope that helps.
