We have over 100 referrals this month from promotional work we’re doing (presumably!), but just wondering what the success rate is for these things? Should we be expecting any earnings from that kind of number, or is it more in the 1000’s when you might see a conversion?
Obviously, the quality of music being linked to is important, but we’re continuing to try and up our game so more interested in peoples’ experience with numbers vs earnings.
Thanks,
Chris
Hey tacoMusic!
I can hear your crunchy style as we speak ^^
There’s been a lot of threads about this where people show their results. Here’s one for instance:
http://audiojungle.net/forums/thread/tips-for-gaining-referrals/59360Looks like there’s more like 1000’s. I guess it also depends on the quality of the traffic. I have over 100 clickthroughs and no deposits.
I have at least 100 clickthroughs per month (for which I am not sure where they come from…) but I only got one (accidental?) deposited referral so far so I simply stopped paying attention to referral system… for now
It’s pretty tough on audio guys , just look at the top authors and you’ll see most of them referred “between 1 and 9 users” in the 3-4 years they have been here
.
So if they can’t make it with referrals, I’m not gonna even think about trying. If you don’t have a lot of traffic on the pages where you place the referral links, and you don’t come up with clever ideas for placing the links where people in need of royalty-free music might spot them, then forget it :/ .
I have less than 100 referrals and earned $ 6 on it. I do not think we can expect significant gains on this topic.

But still daamn more then 50 referred users in less than a year
It would leave me with a sense of achievement anyway
even without the $$ .

Crunchy like cornflakes?
I’m intrigued, our music has never been called ‘crunchy’ before! Thanks for that link, it certainly puts things in perspective. I guess it’s a slim chance that people will actually top up their account or purchase a song directly from a link, but still worth adding the reference link just in case…

Hello
I have around 1000 clicks a month and earnings are approx. $50 from these. I placed the referrals a while ago, and did not put up new ones. So, i would say it’s worth the work
I got monthly about say 300? And i got a $6 last month. lol
