Ok interesting ideaBut this is legal? It`s not basically a themeforest clone? Now what stops me to take all the the top sold items here to promote them ? and take 30% of the sales ? it`s seems to me it`s better than doing a theme.
Referrals give you 30% of the first sale.

I think he means 30% of the deposits…
I don’t think this is an illegal practise at the end of the day they are marketing your files for you at no cost to you so it’s not too bad really…
Quite alot of authors have sites like these, it’s just a little nicer if you ask them if you can feature their files…

Exactly – while it’s not too polite to use a data scraper, it’s perfectly legal and in fact a proven business model. People have been known to make a nice few bucks off of it. It’s all about good SEO . And in the end, everybody’s a winner.

The main difference between a clone (that re-sells Themeforest files and is infact not allowed) and these kind of websites is that this one redirects traffic to the official Envato marketplaces. The host just profits from referals, which also benefit the marketplace authors by driving new traffic to them.
I wonder why they flagged my thread… :/

Not sure, happened to Ruben last night too, seems there are a few people on here who dont like the ethics of discussion. Its either black or white… annoying because I thought it was a great post, well formatted and complimentary.
Would love to know the website that got flagged?

Thanks. Yeah, these days people abuse of their “FLAG FOR STAFF REPLY ” link.
BoxedCreative saidI think you should wait until a moderator decline the flagged thread. I really don’t know why it got flagged.
