I’m confused -
I’ve seen some templates use commercial fonts (like Myriad Pro), and those .js files have Adobe copyright in the header.
How is this allowed?

If it’s used on the Live Preview, it’s ok, but if the files are within the downloaded package, I don’t think so….

There is strange situation with the Cufon replacement, especially regarding the Myriad.
What Adobe sais:
“All fonts produced by Adobe Systems can be embedded in Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF) files, as well as other types of files. However, the end user license agreement for fonts from other foundries may not allow embedding, even though Adobe Acrobat® may be technically able to embed either the entire font or a subset of that font. To determine whether a given font can legally be embedded in a PDF document or other file, you should contact the original foundry that created the font software. “
Also, Cufon guys sais:
“Fonts produced by the following foundries/vendors/creators are known to be safe: Adobe Systems.”
While it is not redistribution of the font it self, but embedding is there any rights infringement?
I am afraid my English is not perfect, but I hope it is understandable.
Adobe allows Cufon and SIFR embedding, but NOT @font-face. You can see their detailed FAQ on that here:
