I’ve seen some templates using Creattica images (direct works, not screenshots of the full website, i mean). Is that allowed?
Sorry if this has been said before.
Thanks in advance.

No it is not allowed as the copyright of those images, even though they are taken from an Envato site, are owned by their respective authors. I had to remove some images a while ago so unless this has changed very recently you cannot.
Saying that, you can attempt to get written permission from the author of the file.
Copyright infringements you see on any files should be reported to support just as an fyi.

It’s actually in the interest of everyone here that things are reported.
I know it makes you feel dirty, but just imagine if Envato gets sued for copyright infringement and gets shut down because of it…. same thing for an individual author if they are placed in to a legal battle, not good for anyone, and it generally runs along the lines of item being taken down for a period for the author to remove the image(s) and then accepted back – it’s pretty painless, takes a little time but in the end it’s a good thing

oh no I totally agree with you there – best bet is always to contact the author first so they can just update quietly
Sorry didn’t mean to come off as the ‘legal police’ or anything – that’s just the “official” line provided by Envato as a whole.
