Hey guys, just updating the ol’ wiki tonight, and I added a page filled with some common rejection factors. It’s not everything of course, but just some of the most frequent things we see that cause us to reject. Figured I’d post it here, instead of leaving you all to find it on your own, it may be helpful.

Thing that I notice almost for every 3rd file is “Missing file” error. Often times the asset is included with the project, but something goes wrong with the link – eg AE is looking for that particular asset elsewhere. Therefore I suggest everyone to use File->Collect files option in AE before submitting your project. This will make life easier for reviewers and will get your file online faster without soft-rejection for such a simple reason. However one thing to remember about “Collect Files” option is that it puts a report text file next to the project file. And that report file reveals part of your computer’s file structure that could be considered as a private information and not something that you might want to publish on internet.
