Ok guys, I have a little problem where to put some of my new files (and where some of my old files should go)
I’ve made some new videos of gadgets and devices similar to files like my headphones or cellphone.
Now first: I would consider this to be stock footage, but because they are made digital and not from a camera some may would differ. So what do you think?
And Second: There seems to be no category like “devices”, “gadgets”, “hardware” or something similar. Of course I would realy like to see such a category (hint
). But until then: do you have a good Idea where I should put those files?
Cheers Mario / 380nm
Edit: ok, I just saw that there are sub-categories
I think a good place for those files would be Motiongraphics/elements/3d,Object.
But I am still a bit confused about the definition of stock footage and motion graphics in this case. Can you tell me how excactly the two get differenced?

Hey 380,
We do not currently have a devices or gadgets section. But we soon should be adding “Technology” as a sub-category, and as you already stated “3D Objects” would work too.
The difference between the two can be hard. Technically everything we sell is Stock Video. We chose the term Stock Footage because footage sort of implies video shot with an actual camera.
So basically any real footage can go into Stock Footage. And any computer generated footage would go into motion graphics.
Oh and on a side note. We don’t really allow linking to one’s own file from within the forum. So I removed your links, its no big deal. Linking is allowed in the “Item Discussion” section. This is just a means to keep the forum from getting filled with “check out my file” pages.
Thanks!
