CartoonSmart is now selling items on our Tutorial Marketplace! CartoonSmart are an independent tutorial provider, specializing in everything from Flash and Web Development, to Animation and Game Development. Their courses are detailed, multiple-hour videos, taught by experienced people in each of the fields. Not only are they professional and informative, CartoonSmart always include their source files and assets, so you can follow up on your learning. Some tutorials they are selling are; HTML5 and Dreamweaver Websites, Mobile Actionscript 3 Basics, Actionscript 3 Sling Shot Apps and Actionscript 3 Side Scroller Games for Mobile.
As you can see they’re already rocking some great HTML5 and Actionscript/Flash tutorials on our site and have more coming in each week. If you are looking to learn some new skills or brush up on your old ones, head to the Tuts+ marketplace and check out CartoonSmart’s items.
I find it really unfair and disgraceful Envato would promote an already big tutorial maker as they come to tutsplus. Why not feature 5 or so new authors on Tuts+ on envato notes (and a forum announcement) once a month rather than this?

Yeah, the small difference is that Justin will maybe (I guess) drive over Tuts+ all his traffic and users..BTW your suggestion about the 5 news is a good tip, why not …
fumy on his website some of his stuff are cheaper then the Tutorial Marketplace price .

I find it quite amusing that you can say such a thing. Being an author does not mean you have to be upset for certain advertisements and consider them negative! Sure, if they would advertise a landing page or something, it would be inappropriate and I, you, and everyone else woud get mad, BUT calling myself an author does not make me a development guru that knows everything ( no one knows everything, we always learn and find new tricks tips and stuff ) , so tutorials are much appreciated! I am quite sure most people who purchase or will that are authors or soon to be authors, and to be honest, 7 hours of tutorial video for HTML5 , for 25$? It’s quite the kill deal!
So, I must say: Carmen thank you very much for letting us know! I’ve been searching for decent tutorials for a LONG time! This was just what I needed!
LandonWilson there are 2 types of advertisements. The ones that advertise useless, less useful or useful stuff that only some people find interesting, and there are those that apply to the masses. In this case, the file presented in the advertisement applies to almost everyone on ThemeForest and CodeCanyon who want to learn new stuff! ( as I said, authors or soon to be authors )
So you should be quite grateful someone announced it. Maybe we would never have known about it! Staff know what’s best and advertise only when needed if you haven’t noticed by now.
Again! Thank you Carmen and CartoonSmart! I’m gonna purchase this ASAP !
Edit: Purchased! Woohaah! Learning time!

Darn it. I have a typo
my bad guys. It’s quite late here, I’m off to bed! Thanks again Carmen! Wonder full piece of information!
I am quite sure most people who purchase or will recommend this tutorial are authors or soon to be authors, and to be honest, 7 hours of tutorial video for HTML5 , for 25$? It’s quite the kill deal!
@Enabled: I get your point, but there a lot of really good tutorials on the tuts+ marketplace that aren’t getting any sort of promotion because they’re made by normal professionals. When it comes to a well-known tutorial site like CartoonSmart, I don’t think they deserve any advertisement as a lot of people already know about them. Point out the small peas in the pie, not what everyone can see.

Exactly. A lot of people know about them and about their products that are now available on Tuts+ as well! And I do agree with you! There are a lot of other awesome tuts out there but do you know what’s inside the pack? Or why it was not advertised? Perhaps the pack by CartoonSmart offers a lot more than the rest or simply put just ” Stands Out From The Crowd”.
In either way, it is a good deal, and it offers a very good set of tutorials! As I stated before, you should be happy about it, not trying to break it! In the end CartoonSmart are authors here as well, and they are a part of this community! Picture this as a Featured File
Don’t ruin their moment of glory with doubtful comments! Don’t you agree?
