Cart66 Exposure

Hey guys, We recently discovered that Cart66.com were linking to a couple of Cart66 WordPress E-commerce themes right here on ThemeForest. For the full story, please see our article on Envato Notes.

Just wanted to add that, although it’s not guaranteed of course, it might be a way to get some solid exposure for your next theme if you were considering developing a dedicated Cart66 theme. You never know – they might end up promoting it on their Web site. Nothing like some quality, free exposure to your ThemeForest files.

Hey. Unfortunately i have to say that cart66 will never get as popular as other solution because of the 86$ of extra money a customer will have to pay to get the theme to work.

Not only what duotive said, but I used it for a client and it’s HORRIBLE trying to integrate it into a theme, plus it lacks a ton of features, the support is horrible, and overall it’s just bad.

I’d consider shooting my foot before coding for cart66.

If anyone else would like to have their themes displayed on our site please just let us know. We’re working on creating a place where high quality Cart66 themes can be displayed together from a variety of different developers and sources.

I’m sorry DesignitTonight has had a bad experience with our support team. I know they work really hard and answer many questions. We are also adding new features to Cart66 all the time. In the last three months we’ve added almost 30 new features. We decide what new features to add based on feedback from the community, so if you have features you’d like to see implemented, please let us know.

To those that have added negative comments to this thread, personal opinions are welcome in our forums, but let’s keep this polite, respectful and realistic, please. No-one is being forced to create or buy any kind of specialized theme on ThemeForest, we are merely promoting a great new opportunity for ThemeForest authors.

The authors that are already leading the way with Cart66 integration are already finding an audience for these products. Please do not try to purposely discredit or give a disservice to your fellow authors, it’s not appreciated. If authors would like to explore this opportunity, fantastic! We will support you as much as we can. If customers wish to purchase Cart66 or any other kind of specialized e-commerce solution, wonderful. Every author and every customer has different needs and it comes down to choice and preference. An analogy that springs to mind in this situation is, not everyone drives Ferraris or Porsches. But just because someone is driving an Audi, it does not mean that the Ferrari or Porsche owners/enthusiast should look down on the Audi owner.
