Can we send translated version of Release form?

I took lots of photo shots and video captures with models, when I wanted to get the sign of model release, they refuse to do it because of english version. Please do we have a chance to make it turkish or any other languages? People are afraid of signing If they don’t know English so well. First they got the paper from me and say that they will translate it to another person or they want me to translate it in notary public, and it is really expensive in Turkey.

You’re right. Especially, in the southern European countries English is not so popular, and the people aren’t trying to learn it as well.

totaly agree… I wouldn’t sign on a paper with unkown language to me.

Envato should do something.

I think you can use any kind of models release you please! Envato’s releases are templates only as stated here:

But you should first check with support…

Yeah I was just going to say something similar to what steve314 said. Just take envato’s template and translate it yourself.

Of course it shall be official templates and not translations by each author if he need it. Btw it’s huge multylanguage community here. Envato can ask community and have release form templates on every language within a week.
Very simple to do:
1) Make request here,
2) get translations from volunteers,
3) Publish and ask community to take a look (just uin case of errors).


All done.

Why not?
P.S. I can easily do Russian translation if Envato decide to put different language templates.

I’ll have a talk with the team about providing valid translated releases in some of the most common languages. But until that happens I worry that we won’t be able to accept releases that aren’t written in English. It is true that the release we provide is just a template and you can provide your own release, but since we are an English marketplace, and our reviewers need to understand what they’re seeing, we may need it to be in English.

Before getting ahead of myself completely, let me check with our team to see if I can get clarification on both subjects (accepting non-English releases, and maybe providing some official releases in other languages).

As soon as I hear back I’ll post the information here.

Hey guys, small update. I’ve passed along the details in this thread to our legal department and they’re going to look into the possibility of providing our releases in other languages. It’s still uncertain as to which languages, and when this will happen. But it is being researched and we’ll have more information for you guys soon.
