I have just 44 followers and 90 present of them are Audiojungle authors. Its obvious that they follow me just to notice them and check there portfolio. Unfortunately this way I cannot have a clear idea of what is going on and who is following me for real. I really respect a lot all of the audiojungle authors and I always use music from them. Please with all the respect don’t follow me without reason , is kind of confusing for me and it’s a little bit of a cheap trick to get my attention. If I ever need music I will find you.

Why would that bother you at all? They follow you as any other person would, no mather what marketplace they are coming from. And one more thing : you have better chances selling your work to authors from other marketplaces. So let it be as it is… I would prefer lots of followers, cause I could only gain from that, not loose :)

As you see in my message I don’t try to disrespect now one and I try to put this as polite as possible. Well yes maybe is not so bothering but as I said it looks a little bit cheap.

If you remember some time ago “Unique” open a threat about those who follow him, just to appear in his profile page. Its a kind of self promotion. For my opinion, also my case is a kind of self promotion

till the moment when we can see all of the followers, the follow button have low importance for who is followed. I see no utility for me. What should I do with it? Except read the number of followers on my dashboard?

But it works for who want to follow others, since new items from those authors appears on the 9×9 box on the home page. Now that is also kind of broken, since I had followed couple of authors from photodune and currently is flooded with pictures of cats. (I love them! :) but just to exemplify my point)

my question is? how do you intend to use the follower functionality and why having x number of followers instead of y can affect your intended use?

It is just a mater of morality.

Don’t effect me so much.

Is just something that I will never do because I respect everybody in this community.

For example I could follow everybody here just to place my avatar in the profile page of all the authors. And I could do this every week . Its not illegal….but is not moral. And that is all about.

I think that probably you didn’t understand what is this about. The problem is not where those followers are coming from…...but why they follow me, or other video hive authors.

Personally I believe that is a way of self promotion.
