According to Wikipedia there are 13 versions released after AE6 .5 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_After_Effects) but as far as file opening compatibility goes – there are 6 versions after 2004 when AE 6 .5 was released. It’s strongly recommended to upgrade. A lot of new things has been invented in AE world since CS6 .5 However you can download a demo version of AE CS6 (11.0) that is fully functioning for one month. Files that don’t use Cycore plugins can be opened and used with demo version.

In general Stock Footage is unprocessed footage. Slight improvements might be ok, but review team tend to reject footage that is heavily processed. I’d recommend to go with Motion Graphics section.

It’s not allowed to resell Audio Jungle preview, but as mentioned previously – you can use audio placeholders to mix the audio just as you would do for logo, images etc.

Made contact thru email provided and also on the codecanion comments item page.(If the page would be available now those comments/requests for support could be noticed) Never, ever got a reply from the author. Nothing, ever.

It's like this guy had vanished from earth.

Now the plugin was removed and once again I’ve lost my money.

This is the second time this happens to me.

Now i can say with all my conviction that ENVATO is a bad place to buy anything.I dont recommend this marketplace to anyone.

I’d strongly encourage you to contact support with as much details as possible. Without knowing the facts no-one will be able to help. It’s true that authors are not required to provide support for their items, but they are required to sell files that works.

Please contact support. Regular users on forums will not be able to help. Go to http://support.envato.com and there will be a green button on your right that says Open a ticket. Make sure you give as much details as possible.

Try this service instead (http://www.formstack.com/forms/envato-piracy_submissions) it’s free and does the same thing.

I just saw this thread. I’m not authorized to speak on behalf of Envato staff, but I’ll give some insight from what I’ve understood as an author that produces stock projects for almost 3 years now.

People often mix bespoke freelance work with producing template projects. In first case you charge depending on how much time you spent. Or you set the fixed price based on your estimations of how long it will take to make it. In second case – template projects are evaluated based on what value it offers for the customer.

Sometime you can spend weeks creating a complex 3D model, rendering mattes and everything to form a logo revealer. And sometimes you throw together a quick one inside After effects alone and you end up selling them for nearly the same price or with some 2-5$ difference. The answer is – while the first one took you lot of time to create – the end value for the customer is not that great. In fact prerendered 3D model might look cool, but even be limiting for a buyer.

But then again for a bespoke project you get your deal, create it, get your cash and forget it. With stock project this “one time investment” keeps earning you monthly income for years. And again the factor for this is value for customers. IF your project offers great value for customers and your preview media makes it clear for the customer – your project will earn you potentially even more than a similar bespoke project.

1) Create projects with extra value for buyer
2) Make sure you do your best to show that extra value in your preview video
3) List that extra value points in “message to reviewer” box. It’s sad to see that this box is often left empty or abused with texts like “please rate if you like my project and thank you for purchase”.

It’s against the policy to ask for specific price, but you can always do your best to help reviewer notice those extra bits and pieces. Someone who has spent days working on this project will definitely know more about this project than someone who technically checks it in a few minutes.

I see that both files been taken care of.

Generally you should never delete a file if it’s put on hold. Most likely when it comes back it will be put on hold again unless another reviewer reviews it. So deleting and resubmitting just makes the process longer. It doesn’t help in any way. If you believe it’s been on hold for too long (several days) you can contact support, but don’t delete it.

When I started here as author I also uploaded my first project that was a 3D DVD cover model with some animation presets. What I learned was – buyers were disappointed because they didn’t had ready made project with all titles and stuff. They only got model and animation that they could incorporate in their own project.

What you can learn from this: While there is some pro buyers that are looking for separate elements – most of the buyers want ready made projects that can be customized in minutes without contributing much.

The safest way is to target your products to majority offering additional value for pro buyers. If you target to pro buyers alone – your elements really has to shine.
