Check if the material you’re using isn’t “sketch and toon”. Second thought: maybe light is too strong so reflection is overbright.

Does: lots of “prerendered Optical Flares included” in the description :) I have to try it!

as your top buyer, I would just buy less / fewer projects… so less money per author…

Thats why I’m wondering why Envato doesn’t have some kind of discount program for their top buyers. Something like progressing payment rates for authors. I.e. if you buy items for total 10 000$ then you pay only 70% of normal price. Then raising prices wouldn’t hit top buyers but only occasional buyers.

Heres a quote that inspired me to start a new thread:

On the other side prices around here in global could get higher but that’s another topic. Especially in C4D / 3d category.

Totally agree with that sentence. I think that prices on VH are way too low, in fact they ridiculous low.

Beside sales volume is much smaller than on ThemeForset for example. On TF new files almost instantly get at least 20 sales. And that is obvious because much more people need website template than video/animation template. So if demand is low than we shouldn’t have such low prices here.

Simple calculation below: Easy project on freelance, let’s say “template with videoholders” gives you at least 1000$ (it depends of course on many things, but just lets keep it simple). So if I want to earn 1000$ from one project on VideoHive (price 20$, 50% payment rate) I’ll have to sell it 1000/10=100 times.

Now look at that: http://videohive.net/category/all?categories=all&page=1&sort_by=sales_count&type=files How many files sell more than 100 times? Less than 5%! And lot of them cost less than 20$.

What’s your opinion?

BTW . I’m not lurker any more :)
