Very good move.
C4D section gives a wonderful exposure.
I personally increased my exposure and AE sales after uploading C4 files.
It’s a long term investment, but i prefer to be there.
When I started uploading Projects files on Flashden (now VH), best sellers where with After effects .
But in the Motion Graphics category.
My file is in the queue :winktongue:
Peace.
Arthur

Love your work in both categories….

For many who follow VH, we are aware of the quality work of some of the more established authors, and as a result we follow them closely.

However, some new authors have shown some real quality as well, and it stimulates further excellence. We are also aware of the so called “copies”...and tend to avoid them as they are a poor representative of the original file.

The market place will always be the great equalizer.

The once fresh flow of files that came out each day has seemed to dry up. Am I wrong or is there a backlog of files accumulating inside the body of Videohive waiting to come out.

Font, music, text – all 100% Tron… No wonder it got labeled too derivative. It’s not too hard to make it look a lot less like the movie in question tho. It’s a very cool project btw. :) Fix it, re-upload and it’ll pass. There is a limit to what can you do here – you just need to feel it ;)

Ok, I think I understand. I difinitely did not include that music in the preview file :) But, yes, I did mention Tron End Credits and the font was in the preview, so maybe I need to modify it a bit to not mention Tron so much…

Thanks!
I for one loved your project, and am very interested in purchasing it. It is really nice quality, and I can’t wait to see what you put out.

For me this is the best month ever. Both sales and earnings exceeded all plans. i was planing to reach 70% commission rate and joint the Elite Club around mid-october, but it happened even before the end of this month. For me it’s another proof of known fact – keep delivering high quality content, do it regularly and you’ll be successful here.

It is not big of surprise to me. Your portfilio is full of high-level files only. Hard work always pays back. It is not about quantity anymore.. at least that’s what I think. I’ve been canceling projects lately cause they dont beat the last project in quality/design. I now have a folder full of 3-4-5 ideas that will probably be never uploaded. Leaving aside all the particle reveals and transofrmer logos/projects (obviously those will sell even after a polar blast..) it seems that the usual “placeholders + reflection + text” formula is starting to fade out. I am sure many clients will agree. Optical Flares was the king in 2011 (okey, we really had fun with it.. :) ), I am betting “Creativity” will set the rules of the game in 2012 (if the World does not end O.o ) Buckle up lil buddies :)

I agree with this! Clients are looking for unique and cutting edge stuff! However, high quality- high level projects will remain timeless.

Always wondered what authors do with the files that are not approved?
