Wow, so you all routinely email passwords around? What mail servers do you use, BTW ? (evil grin) Seriously, though, I understand why they would want access to the server, especially my wp-admin login, it just gives me the security willies. Just last month I had someone sniff my credit card number from an HTTPS site over WiFi, so I’m especially paranoid now. Not knowing when they’re going to be accessing my site, nor for how long, means I have to leave myself open to whoever sniffs the email trail looking for passwords, for an indefinite time. It’s not necessarily that I don’t trust the theme author, it’s just I don’t trust the network of routers/servers between my site and him.I guess if others rely on security through obscurity, assuming there is too much email traffic to intercept my little site’s passwords, I can do the same. I’m backing up my site and storing it offsite before I do that, though.
Thank you all.
Just ask them how long it will take and change the password right after they are finished.
He probably wants to see if everything is uploaded and/or to connect remotely his coding editor and check the code.
I also ask buyers for credentials from time to time, reminding them to change their password if they have any concerns.
Regards,
Boris
If the theme is not based around the tutorial, but is just a small part of it utilizes it – I think there is no problem implementing the techniques into your theme.

cmt saidDid you arrived at home on your bike or did you walk?
For example, I fell of my bike on a tram way a few hours ago. I dusted myself off, thanked the kid who asked me if I am OK, had a quick thought about what I did to fall off, thanked the universe for making this happen so I know I should be more careful when riding and continued towards home.
I biked.
The most remembering thing about the whole situation was that among 20 people on the street (I fell off in front of a bus stop), the only one who asked me if I was OK was a 7-year old boy. After a small thought he went on to tell me I should not be riding in such a bad weather. Please, listen to the kids more often.

Reality is what you make it. Make it positive.![]()
Reality is reality, you can’t change it with thoughts. Off course thinking positive will help you fight the numerous obstacles that life will throw at you, but is a very big mistake to lose contact with reality.
Too often people will accuse you of being pessimist if you show them some painful truth that they chose to ignore.
I’m not referring to the marketplace here, just as a general law of mine.
But speaking of envato, what did I miss? What did they did that should had be done light years ago?
“Good” or “Bad” things always happen. That’s the reality (actually the reality is things happen – we label them “good” or “bad”). But it’s how your relate to those things that matters the most – that is a choice, exclusive to human beings. I actually prefer “human doings”.
For example, I fell of my bike on a tram way a few hours ago. I dusted myself off, thanked the kid who asked me if I am OK, had a quick thought about what I did to fall off, thanked the universe for making this happen so I know I should be more careful when riding and continued towards home.
I could have made a whole awful story in my head that sounds horribly negative and it still will be describing reality. But it’s a choice I made – and worked toward changing my point of view. I’ve lived the other way around for way too long and it’s never been fun for me or people around me.
Just my 2 rusty cents.

I just turned 83 this month….
Hope to see you as an author soon. But please, hurry…
You can do some opensource coding / design giveaway – that always relieves those thoughts and gives you an insight on how to do your protection.
Other than that, you can have a look at:
Have a great day!
