I personally have no respect for these sherriff, developer wannabes! Notice how most of the top authors don’t have a sherriff badge, thats because these guys spend there time working on there own shit, not sneaking around the web like a little rat, getting there jollies off bringing other people down. And I wonder how these guys know where to find the original files, I suspect its because there all over the net, downloading and using the very same files there ratting other people on…Seriously, how else would they know!

I go to tons of flash tutorial sites to follow tutorials and LEARN FLASH . When i see a file uploaded to flashden which is the SAME FILE , same colors, same function, same style, same SHIT , that i see on a tutorial site, i report it. The STAFF takes a look at the link to what i or anyone else believes is the original file, then looks at the file in question on flashden, and COMPARE the code and final output, if its the same that is COPYRIGHT VIOLATION . They dont just take a file down just because someone “claims” that it is a ripped file. They LOOK INTO IT and find that out themselves and only take it down if it IS A RIP .

I have no respect for people like you who dont give a shit about ripped files and sit there and complain about ripped files being taken down only add to the problems on flashden.

How in the F*ck is this being a RAT ?! You SUPPORT ripped files on flashden? Interesting, this just makes you look like someone who would probably upload a ripped file.

Yes i do notice there are some people who go around and just acuse everything as a Ripped file just because it is the same idea, and most of the time they are always wrong. That does make me mad cuz although they try to help sometimes they just post crap comments on peoples files and they dont even know for sure if its a rip file. But not all of us go around reporting everything we see just because it has a SLIGHT similarity. Whatever i have reported has been a blatant 100% COPY of a file. Straight upload of a tutorial file. And i inform the staff privately and let them research it more and figure it out.

You think just because someone claims a file is a rip it gets taken down. The staff are NOT IDIOTS . They LOOK INTO IT , compare the files, the code, everything. ONLY TAKE IT DOWN IF IT IS A RIP .

a computer is not really something you ask a huge forum of people… in my opinion…. because bottom line is everyone is going to defend their OWN taste because of their OWN PERSONAL preferences.

getting a computer is like getting a girlfriend… you don’t just ask people who you should date…. you choose the girl that you like best, that fits with your personality and that you enjoy their company. haha.

Choose the computer that serves YOURS needs and that YOU feel comfortable using and buying based on YOUR experience, and how much money you want to spend. Mac lovers are going to support the mac…. pc lovers are going to support the pc. its just the way it is…

i go to art school and we have both MAC and PC labs (with the LATEST MACS and PC’s with all the latest software)... i use both ALL THE TIME … in MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE i have had many problems on macs. That dreaded Pinwheel has frozen on me hundreds of times and Illustrator and photoshop have Unexpectedly Quit on me many times. This has happened TO ME more times on a MAC than a PC. I feel more comfortable on a PC.

I’ve never had major problems with a pc… ive never had a virus… i have both vista and xp… yes i have had occasions where a program freezes or something on my XP pc… but like i said i experienced that many times on a mac as well. As far as vista i have had no problems. period. People who get so many virus’s and errors and crap on their PC’s just need to stop looking at so much porn and downloading tons of illegal software. Thats where all that crap comes from mainly. lol haha

Your best bet is to try out both somehow and just choose what is more convenient for you. All your going to get on this forum is “mac sucks” and “PC sucks” with the occasional personal story. But that’s THEIR story. it doesn’t mean it will be yours as well.

lol ok that was long. haha good luck with whatever you choose! at the end of the day a computer serves you only as good as you serve it haha You may have problems on both MAC & PC… you may have problems on neither… you may have problems on one…

i had this problem when i was trying to install photoshop cs3. Mine wasnt an upgrade though but what fixed it all for me was Uninstalling ALL adobe software that WASNT CS3 so all of my cs2 stuff i had to completely remove….. not just photoshop but every single adobe cs2 product i had… then the thing stopped flashing and finally went through with the whole process… this was on windows xp sp2 on my desktop… and yeah adobe support is bull crap.

but since yours is a upgrade then i’m assuming you HAVE to keep flash 8 installed in order to properly upgrade? if so then i dont know what else you can do.

on vista it was smooth as a babies butt. haha
