Yes, a “Resolution Center” would be awesome.

This would work like so:

1. Buyer contacts Envato Support.

2. Buyer must demonstrate that they have already contacted the author with the issue.

3. Buyer must demonstrate this is a real issue – demoed on the preview / item description but not working in the real product with a live link.

4. If author does not reply / fix within 7 days => refund . It will also mean buyer is cut from future updates and support. And maybe the licence key is sent to the author so he can develop a script to remove the buyer from the support forum.

99.5 % of the buyers are awesome and will not abuse this. But also do not make it easy to abuse.

I think this would be a good idea if we had the following control:

1. Ability (optionally) to show the contact form only on items that the customer has not yet purchased

2. The ability to label this box as we see fit, for example “Pre-Purchase Questions”

The problem is that for those of us that use external support forums, this is just going to confuse customers even more unless we can customize its purpose. Sounds great for pre-purchase questions, but once the user has purchased I would want this box to disappear (and optimally be replaced by my own custom button linking to a support forum)

By the way, the other great thing about this idea is that the email could include a reference to the page it was sent from – I can’t tell you how many requests I get where the customer does not identify which product they’re referring to

The reviewer does not check that. It’s your responsibility when you check the copyright checkbox.

That said, I think no author who makes their living here would cheat like this, especially since extended licences are so cheap on CC

We know that we can use extended licence plugins from here for ThemeForest items. But can we do the purchase after the theme has been approved, just so it does not turn out a waste of money in the other case ?
