To Tim’s points
I completely agree, that it is impossible to check for any of us if our track used in a advertising from a major company, and aired several times a day, has been bought with the extended license.
As i have seen some of my tracks used that way, which never had a extended license sale, i’m sure it happens.
As Envato will make us responsible for fraud Paypal payments and charging us authors for that, i’d say they are responsible to maintain our musical rights and payout any false licensing we find.

Hello All
STILL many of you don’t understand what it means to register a track with your local PRO.
1. The buyers here on the website are often agencies creating a advertising video or movie for a company. The company will receive the final movie from the agency and will book some airplay at a TV station. The TV station will then either have to fill out the cue sheet or they pay sometimes a flat rate anualy to the PRO, which will be shared amongst their artists.
2. That means neither the buyer or Envato needs to handle any paperwork except allowing authors to include a paper which states the real name of the producer under which the work has been registered at the PRO.
So it would NOT affect the customer at AJ directly when tracks are PRO registered. Also on Youtube, GEMA and other PROs trying to get streaming royalties from the content on YT. This is money that YT would have to pay to the PROs, and NOT the person uploading the content. Sure, YT would at some point try to get the money back, but as this would be an incredible amount of work, they just block these videos in certain countries at the moment.
Hope this helps to clarify the PRO issue.

Hello all
I realised, that if i get some bad ratings from my Graphicriver items (because peoples lack in Photoshop knowledge), that my overall ratings seen as a Audiojungle Author are infected as well. While sales which are counting for the top authors list are separated for each marketplace, the ratings are calculated Envato wide.
Is this real or a fault ?

As far as I’m aware you can’t alter the AJ watermark at all. I got rejected on a track for simply making it sound wider in the mix! 8D
You don’t alter the watermark at all by this and it will only be heard a bit clearer in the mix if used with caution.

The only time I think this makes sense is if your audio is already so compressed at a certain point that the water mark becomes unintelligible. In which case, use less compression or just boost the levels slightly on the watermark; if the watermark isn’t accomplishing its function (to keep the music from being ripped/stolen) then there’s a problem!
Spot on! I did it sometimes when there was allmost no headroom left for the watermark. But used it so softly, that it was allmost not noticeable.

Hello Everyone
I’m not sure if i ever had a track in the top seller list to be honest.
Tried one or two times to write a track along the lines of the best selling ones and failed. Not sure if it didn’t work because the song was not good enough, or if it is just not the kind of music my followers/customers expect and want from me.
Besides not having a track in there, i’m still selling some of my music. Not THAT track, but randomly from my portfolio which is also a good thing
If i’m in need of a picture from Photodune, let’s say a forest, i enter forest in the search and sort by best selling. That way i’m more or less sure, that i will find a satisfying photo within the first page.
Thats just how most customers do their shopping here on Envato. Time is money…... Sadly many good items get lost by that behaviour, but thats just how it is

From a legal point of view, it’s quite simple :
A: Envato sets up the marketplaces and offer Paypal as a payment method, hence Envato is responsible for any issues between customers and Paypal.
B: To avoid any returns, clearly state this in your legal agreement like “abolutely NO returns for purchased items on the Envato marketpaces”. The customer accepts that by clicking the “agree” tickbox.
We the authors can’t be made responsible for any fraud or pirated content/purchases, as this is 100% Envatos risk of their business. Maximum they could ask for is a share of 50/50 on any loss, but again only if this has been stated in the sign up process for becoming an author.
Sorry for my bad english, there might be some spellings, but the content is correct and had been reviewed by 2 lawyers with good digital rights experience.

Hello
I mostly offer VH authors to do a custom track for their project.
Unfortunately most of them start their VH projects with an existing song that inspired them
