Hey, if you cant afford Automatic Duck, there are a couple of scripts that can help you out importing from FCP to AE.. I have used this one http://www.creative-workflow-hacks.com/2007/04/15/final-cut-pro-to-after-effects-scripting-without-the-hassle/ But apparently there is also another one: http://www.popcornisland.com/after-effects/final-cut-2-after-effects/ hope this helps!thanks Mario!!!

You mean rotating and moving the masks?, you can do it very simple.. Just double click on the mask and it will be like the object transformation tool in photoshop, so you can move, rotate or scale the mask..
Hey firsh, you can try with precomposing or making an adjustment layer on top of your image, then apply the glow effect to the adjustment layer and make the mask in the adjustment layer, hope I explained myself.. If not contact, me through my profile and I’ll try to explain you better. Thanks I found it.
How can I make an adjustment layer only affect SOME layers, but not all behind it? Like in photoshop. You held down alt then that adjustment layer only affected the one layer below. I tried parenting it but it didn’t work. I know that if I put something on top of of it it works, but I can’t always do that if the specific layer has to be where it is. Sorry if I ask silly questions, only started AE yesterday!
Hey, You can do that by Precomposing, You can Add an adjustment layer on top of your layer, then select your adjustment layer and the layers you want to be affected by. Then go to “Layer” then “Precompose” then “move all atributes into the new composition”.. So this will create a new composition with your adjustment layer and only the layers you want your adjustment layer to affect..
