Clever way to get some “TRAX”
Had a great time in this interview.
Thanks Chris,
Cheers
Hey AJ citizens,
I stumbled upon this interview with Nick Phoenix, who is both a composer, writing music for Big Box Office trailers, and more commonly known as the founder and developer at East West Quantum Leap. There’s some very good questions in it, and its encouraging for all us composers.

Congrats to you, blessed one.
Now that you’ve discovered the Envato sites, you’ll probably end up using it often enough to warrant depositing $20. If you didn’t know, the money you deposit can be used throughout the Envato sites, so you’ll be able to use it for site templates, or video, or anything else. My suggestion would be to deposit the money and start using any material without worrying about legalities.

I think the prices are incredibly reasonable for what you get. While I agree that the prices could be put up to $24-$29 – there’s no way that AJ would put that much of a price hike on things from where they are now. I do think that a $14 file currently could be valued at $20 and I don’t think many people – in the grand scheme of things – would bat an eyelid.
I agree with Gareth. Some of the sites that sell tracks for higher are lot more difficult to break into (meaning actual written contracts, skype interviews, mailed demos, etc., etc.), and often sell to “bigger” clients (not that AJ doesn’t have some big clients, but that’s not who shops here very often). I would think that the reason AJ has become so popular is not necessarily because it has far better music than some of these other sites, but because it is relatively easy to become an author for, and because it has lower priced music.
Be careful what you wish for, sometimes you get it.
Great interview on De_signs. Look forward to the next. Ohmlab, you should be writing for a magazine (really good at it)
Nice work Gareth, always impressive. Would like to see 1080p on AE Daddy’s work.
I’ve worked on some film industry jobs, but wanted to show you one that was used from my audiojungle portfolio.
